Parent Volunteer Opportunities

Team Roles

Breakers runs on the energy of its volunteer parent community. There are many ways to get involved — from meet day helpers to behind-the-scenes organizers.

At meets:

  • Timer: Sit at the end of a lane with a stopwatch as a backup timer. Training is provided.
  • Hospitality: Help set up and staff the team hospitality area with snacks and refreshments.
  • Results runner: Collect heat sheets and results slips from officials and bring them to the scorers' table.
  • Cheer coordinator: Lead the team parents in organized cheering sections.

Behind the scenes:

  • Team photographer: Capture practice and meet day moments to share with families.
  • Social media helper: Post updates, photos, and event info on the team's social accounts.
  • New-family liaison: Reach out to incoming families and answer questions about team life.
  • Fundraising committee: Help organize the team's annual fundraising events.

Getting involved is a great way to get to know other swim families and be part of your swimmer's world. To sign up, reach out to the admin coordinator or look for volunteer sign-up sheets at meets.
